چکیده

We tested the mitochondrial DNA cytochrome b gene-based (1065 bp.) phylogeny and genetic diversity of tooth-carp fish (Aphaniidae Hoedeman, 1949 family), many which are endemic, with a very high species in Anatolia. A total 107 individuals were studied from 29 stations belonging to 19 Aphaniid species. For Cytb gene, 44 haplotypes identified, all species-specific. The phylogenetic relationships generated by neighbor joining, maximum likelihood parsimony methods fully compatible each other. generally well supported tree results distance structure divided into four lineages corresponding genera (Anatolichthys, Paraphanius, Aphanius, Kosswigichthys). between these indicated significant value ranging 16.6% 23.1%. Genetic interspecies distances 1.9% 24.52% (between A. villwocki P. mentoides), except for two groups (A. fontinalis – sureyanus, 0.13% maeandricus irregularis, 0.57%). Our also agree previous studies Anatolian Aphaniidae family, showed diversification pattern shaped Pliocene orogenic events. present indicate that gene sequences effective identification analysis.

Assessment of genetic diversity of an endangered tooth-carp, Aphanius farsicus (Teleostei: Cyprinodontiformes: Cyprinodontidae) using microsatellite markers

Genetic structure of an endemic tooth-carp fish, Aphanius farsicus from four different water bodies in the Maharlu Lake basin was investigated by applying five microsatellite markers. All of the five examined microsatellite loci showed polymor-phism pattern. A total of four alleles were detected at five microsatellite loci, with an average of 2.8 to 3.5 alleles per locus. Average values of obse...

A new Pseudophoxinus (Teleostei, Cyprinidae) species from Southwestern Anatolia, with remarks on the distribution of the genus in western Anatolia

Pseudophoxinus burduricus sp. n. is described from drainages of Salda and Burdur lakes, southwestern Turkey. It is distinguished from other Anatolian Pseudophoxinus by a combination of characters: lateral line incomplete, with 21-39 (commonly 26-37) perforated scales and 47-57+1-2 scales in lateral series; 10½-12½ scale rows between lateral line and dorsal fin origin, 3-4(5) scale rows between ...

Aphanius marassantensis, new species, is described from the Kızılırmak River drainage in northern Anatolia based on colouration, meristic and morphometric characters, and the mtDNA COI barcode region. It is distinguished from other Anatolian Aphanius by one or several of the following characters: a stout body shape (BD/SL 28.2-39.6%), complete scale cover, and 25-28 scales along the lateral lin...
